Wood Machinist

We have a full time, permanent wood machinist vacancy.

The pay is competitive and depends on experience; overtime is paid at x1.5..  We offer 33 days holiday per year including public holidays.

The role in our hardwood department involves using machines such as a cross cut saw, rip cut saw, cabinet sander, edge sanders, linishers, a spindle moulder, band saw and orbital sanders with the opportunity to operate more machines as your skills develop.

Some woodworking or manufacturing experience is necessary and training will be given on our standards and processes. We manufacture hardwood, laminate and veneer tables for several markets including many well known restaurants, cafes and universities. We pride ourselves on encouraging a friendly and supportive working environment where all individuals can develop their skills and learn to manage their own tasks.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Normal working hours are 7.30am - 4pm, Mon - Fri.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
